Literature Text

Silence filled the entire lair on this quiet evening. It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop and hit the ground. The reason for the silence? Splinter had taken Leonardo, Donatello, and April out for a training run that afternoon. Meanwhile, Raphael and Casey had decided to go out and patrol the city, looking for some heads to bash. This left Michelangelo and his girlfriend by themselves in the lair.

Ember had taken this opportunity to polish up on her katas since the dojo was unoccupied. Normally, she would do this even if her friends and teacher were there, but since Mikey was asleep in his room and the others were gone, she decided to try something new to help her. Before her boyfriend had told the lioness that he was going to take a nap, she snuck into his room and stole the radio. She waited until she could hear snores emanating from him to begin her experiment.

The young mutant plugged her Tphone into the auxiliary cord that was hooked up to the radio. She picked only one song in particular, putting a thirty second delay before it started. Ember pulled her Tessen out of her belt then fanned it out. She inhaled through her lion nose then exhaled through her mouth, her hazel eyes shut in concentration.

The song “Dancing Queen” started on Ember’s Tphone and she began her katas, moving with the upbeat Disco music. The Kunoichi-in-training flowed through her katas, making sure she hit the right steps with the beat of the song.

Unbeknownst to Ember, her music had aroused her sleeping sweetheart from his slumber. The song was unfamiliar to Mikey, but he knew that he and Ember were alone in the lair, so it dawned on him that she was the one playing the song. Upon this realization, the curious turtle decided to investigate.

When Mikey came out to the main area, he found no sign of his mutant girlfriend, but he could hear the music being played. Glancing to his left, the freckled, blue-eyed terrapin realized that the music was coming from the dojo. Instead of just walking in, Mikey decided to sneak to the entrance to spy on Ember.

Using all of his stealth, the orange-banded mutant ran to the stairs that led to the training room, hiding on the stone railing. Mikey poked his eyes around the corner and what he saw made his heart leap into his throat.

Ember was still going through her katas with her Tessen as the chorus of the song played. Her movements were as fluid as water rolling along in the ocean. The lioness’ beauty shined through her graceful stances. Her body twirled and spun with perfect finesse.

For Mikey, beautiful was an understatement to describe what he saw. His heart hammered in his chest, threatening to pop out any second. The love-struck terrapin’s blue eyes were nearly popping out of his head and he had to try and control his breathing for fear of Ember hearing him.

The song faded and the lioness finished her kata, standing straight and taking a deep breath. Mikey, being the sneaky turtle he was, crept up behind Ember and grabbed her curvaceous hips, making her jump and gasp.

“Hey, beautiful” the orange-banded terrapin purred into her ear.

Ember smiled and chuckled as she looked back to her boyfriend with a smirk. “Hey, handsome.”

Mikey leaned down and gave his sweetheart a peck on her lips, which she gladly returned. “You wanna play that song again, my dancing queen?”

The lioness blushed and giggled at the terrapin before nodding her agreement. Mikey went to the radio and started “Dancing Queen” again on Ember’s Tphone. The Disco music began and the blue-eyed turtle turned to his girlfriend, giving his cutest smile and holding out his right hand.

“May I have this dance, milady?” Mikey asked with a graceful bow.

Ember laughed and gracefully placed her paw in his hand. “You may.”

Both mutants began to dance as the lyrics started, smiles on their faces and love in their eyes. Mikey twisted and spun Ember around, doing his absolute best to make sure she was having fun. Judging by the smile on her face, he’d say he was doing a pretty good job. The mutant lioness did the vogue and the terrapin copied her, making her laugh. The couple barely had moments like this with each other, so they enjoyed every minute that they could.

The song came to its close and Mikey dipped Ember. Once the song faded, the ninja pulled his girlfriend up onto her feet. They stared into each other’s loving eyes when their song, “Remembering the Light”, began to play on Ember’s Tphone. The lioness smiled and rested her long arms on her sweetheart’s shoulders. Mikey gripped Ember’s hips lightly and they began to dance slowly to the relaxing piano melody. As the song progressed, Ember pressed her head against Mikey’s green neck, giving him a gentle hug as they continued their dance. The young turtle returned the hug in kind, giving a kiss to his sweetheart’s temple. They both shut their eyes in pure bliss as the music played on.

Being with Ember, the blue-eyed mutant felt like the luckiest guy–or turtle–in the entire world. Ever since she started living with him and his brothers, Mikey couldn’t imagine a day without the gentle, caring lioness around. He hoped in his heart that he would never have to spend one day without her.

“I love you, Mikey.”

“I love you, too, Ember.”
1. This got the second most votes on my recent poll.
2. I haven't even finished Chp. 3 of "The Great Tournament".

I love this song to pieces. And when I downloaded it and listened to it recently, I could totally imagine Ember doing her katas to this song and then Mikey finding her and going all "WOW!!" lol :D Anyway, just some EmberxMikey fluff. I hope you enjoy! :D

Based on the 2012 series.
The turtles belong to Nickelodeon. Ember is mine.

Here's the song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=y62OlG…
